Creative Mentorship
Why a Creative Mentorship?
For the past 11+ years I’ve been mentoring women one-on-one, and in group settings, both through my work as a retreat director and facilitator, and as a creative arts workshop host. I’ve had the privilege of watching women discover more of who God has created them to be by helping them discover, and uncover their creative longings. I’ve worked with women from all over the country, from various ages and backgrounds, and despite all of our differences, what we all have in common is a desire to flourish in every area of our lives.
Creativity is an inherent aspect of being human, but many of us walk around either denying this part of ourselves, or completely asleep to the ways our creativity is itching to be unleashed. Being creative is not simply about making a piece of art. Learning to tap into our creativity utterly transforms the way we view the world and the challenges and triumphs of the human experience.

A little more about me,…
One of the things that makes me come most alive is helping people (especially women) awaken to their God-given talents and gifts. I LOVE bearing witness to the transformation that happens when someone begins to practice their gifts and talents, and as a result, discovers the life-altering joy of living from that generative posture of creativity and generosity. Years ago, I experienced this transformation myself, and since then, nearly every aspect of my work has centered around mentoring, coaching, and creating space for women to be present to God and to the work that God is doing in, (and through) them, by practicing their gifts. I’ve been teaching and mentoring in various capacities for over 20 years, and in the last 11 + years my work growing and tending Refine {the retreat} has been more focused on the creative arts, specifically, writing and mixed media art.
If you’re feeling creatively stuck, curious about how art and the Christian faith “hold hands”, or feeling a little lost about how to show up to your craft in this season, I’d love to have a conversation with you about some of the ways I might be able to encourage you.
