The Art of The Essay (Online Writing Circle)
The essay is one of the most basic forms of writing, but the art of essay writing is anything but basic. Essays can stand alone or become the flesh and bones of longer works.
Wherever you are in your writing journey, The Art of The Essay offers a practice for writers of all stages and experience. With the added bonus of writing IN community, we will hone and sharpen our writing skills together.
The Art of The Essay is a 6 week long virtual writing circle where we will explore what makes a strong essay, and the various ins-and-outs of the craft and art of writing. Whether you choose to refine one essay during the course of 6 weeks, or write a fresh piece each week, we will workshop our pieces together and cheer each other on in our writing endeavors. The text for this workshop will be Charity Singleton Craig's book, The Art of The Essay, and while not required, recommend that you purchase a copy for yourself.
