Art Journaling Towards God
About This CohortA Creative Practice For Discovering and Recovering your journey Towards God
This eight-week cohort for women is an invitation to the embodied, intuitive practice of art journaling.
Each week there will be online content, a live teaching and an opportunity to respond to a visual art prompt, and gather on Zoom in a community of women committed to paying closer attention to their lives with God.
The What & How Of This PracticeRooted In Christ, Graciously Practiced
Art Journaling provides an embodied prayer practice that helps re-orient us towards God and our own story. The heart of art journaling as a spiritual practice is the way it helps us pause and reflect on our lives. Together we will learn to see the events, relationships, patterns, and losses of life as the very terrain through which God has been moving. The art journal becomes the place where that noticing slows down, takes on color and texture, and becomes something you can hold—like a stone of remembrance, your art journal becomes a marker of a season of spiritual and personal growth.
Slowing Down
Each week’s practice and prompt are intentionally crafted to help you go deeper and to nurture a growing intimacy with God. This practice focuses on steady growth rather than performance or fixed outcomes. It is soul work—deliberate, reflective, and oriented toward deeper transformation and ongoing spiritual formation.
Practical & Purposeful
Kris Camealy, Creative Coach/Facilitator
The online content and prompts will be specifically adapted to help you do the deeper work of discovery (and recovery) of the heart of God towards you. Because Art Journaling towards God is a spiritual practice, our focus is not on making polished art but instead on a creative way to bear witness to God at work in our lives. Think, process, not perfection.
A Way Of Seeing
This is a practice, which means that no experience is necessary to participate. I will show you specific techniques along the way, but Art Journaling Towards God is not an art class, it’s a spiritual practice—a tool designed to help you grow spiritually. Whatever your artistic experience, you are welcome here.
